Up for sale is an EXTREMELY RARE RESTORED & NUMBERS MATCHING 1964 Jaguar XKE E-Type Series I 3.8 Liter Fixed-Head Coupe with 73,775 miles on the odometer. This vehicle is one of 7,670 3.8 Liter Series I Fixed Head Coupes ever produced between 1961 & 1964. This vehicle received an older restoration & is absolutely STUNNING! This Series I Fixed Head Coupe is equipped with the very rare & sought after Syncromesh Four Speed Gearbox. The Syncromesh transmission was not offered until midway through 1964. So this is a rare Series I example with the 3.8 Liter Inline Six Motor & the Syncromesh Transmission. In 1965 Jaguar switched to the 4.2 Liter motor. This example is a fully numbers matching vehicle that is equipped with the original factory exterior color. That includes an elegant British Racing Opalescent Dark Green exterior with absolutely gorgeous Tan Leather Hides (original interior color was Suede Green) & Chrome spoked wheels. This vehicle is in GREAT CONDITION & will be a great addition to any collection! This vehicle has been maintained very well & is ready to be driven! It is equipped with the EXTREMELY POWERFUL Triple SU Carbureted Naturally Aspirated 265 Horsepower 240 Pounds of Torque 3.8 Liter Inline Six Motor & Syncromesh Four Speed Gearbox Transmission. The motor was completely rebuilt to the highest standards by the Jaguar specialist Terry Girone of Vintage Autoworks out of Atlanta Georgia. The total costs involved to rebuild the motor was at the tune of $34,771.09 & took two years to complete between 2016-2018. This vehicle was purchased by the current owner from Copley Motorcars Corp out of the Massachusetts area & has been with the same individual since 2007. The E-Type was deemed one of the most beautiful vehicles of its time from the start of its era in 1961 & was most definitely ahead of its time. All E-Types featured independent coil spring rear suspension with torsion bar front ends, & four wheel disc brakes, in-board at the rear, all were power assisted. The E-Type was also one of the fastest production coupes produced at the time. This example represents the iconic Jaguar E-Type very well!  The vehicle is equipped with the Rear Wheel Drive System and handles the road very well. The vehicle is equipped with the factory OEM 15"x5k Sport Classic Chrome Spoked Wheels & are wrapped with P195/75R15 Hercules ASR II tires.
